Mark Diamond, Tony Black and Jennifer Lane: Funk & Soul, & New Orleans Gumbo
June 12

Mark Diamond's hard-grooving acoustic bass sound was birthed in the New York area, where he learned to play many musical styles. Grammy award winner Tim O'Brien, Tim and Mollie O'Brien, Sally Taylor, (daughter of James and Carly), James Van Buren with Richie Cole, Keith Oxman, Mary Flower, and Mary Ann Moore.

Tony Black is a jazz drummer based in Denver where he performs regularly with his quartet, as well as fellow Denver musicians Freddie Rodriguez and Artie Moore. He has performed with many of the major figures in the music world and is regarded by his peers as a "musician's musician," constantly honing the traditions of the masters while creating his own approach.

With appearances in DownBeat Magazine, Blues Review, Living Blues Magazine, The FemaleMusician and Candence, among other acclaim, Jennifer Lane is the real deal. A true musician, with heavy piano playin' chops, and a voice that is very versatile and flexible, all of which compliments her intuitive writing, arranging and production abilities. She's on the brink of bringing her music to the national ear. Smart and sassy, sweet and soulful, this is no cookie cutter, manufactured, girl singer clone.

LCC thanks Casey Industrial of Broomfield for sponsoring the sound for this event. “To finish with success, start with Casey."

Todd Adelman and The Love Handles
June 19

Nederland-based singer-songwriter Todd Adelman brings his new band the “Love Handles” to Louisville for a night of unforgettable music. Marquee Magazine writes of his latest release "Todd Adelman’s  “Henry’s Diner“ is, simply put, brilliant. The Nederland, Colo.-based songwriter conjures up moments of Bob Dylan, Gram Parsons and seems to be the twin brother of the Portland-based band Richmond Fontaine with this release. Henry’s Diner is a collection of melancholy, semi-twangy story-telling that not only embraces but actually defines roots folk Americana in all of its glorious simplicity and simultaneous lyrical complexity. Adelman has hit the nail on the head here.”

Backed by the “Love Handles”, Todd performs  “from the gut” roots country/Americana music. With Bret Billings on steel guitar and dobro, Greg Schochet on telecaster and mandolin, Paul Smiddy on drums and Ray Smith on bass, the band lives somewhere between The Flying Burrito Brothers and Neil Young’s Stray Gators.

Sugar Daddy
June 26

Sugar Daddy plays "World Class Rock" from the 60s to the present, with a particular emphasis on vocals with three part harmonies. The band consists of John Redfern on guitar, Jim Pollicita on bass, Merrie Perry on keyboard and vocals, Sam Barnhill on guitars and vocals, and Mike Padula on drums and vocals. Selections range from soft acoustic rock to Southern rock to heavy classic rock. These local favorites have a strong sense of community and we are pleased to welcome them back to close out the concert series.

LCC thanks Gary Guerriero and DesignTek for providing beautiful poster art for this series. (303.356.2555)

LCC thanks Double D's Sourdough Pizza and The Huckleberry for serving pizza and desserts. LCC also thanks Caffe Sanora for serving their premium Arabica coffee - with more antioxidants than most green teas.
